This was my first marriage and I wanted to plan the perfect wedding shower. I needed help, so I asked my sister if she would like to help me plan it. My sister agreed to help me and was excited about it. Planning a wedding shower is time consuming, but I couldn’t wait to start planning it. I have planned showers before and I knew my shower would turn out awesome. Time was running out and I knew I better hurry up with all the details.

Planning an outside wedding wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Since we had the beauty of nature all around us, it wasn’t too expensive to decorate. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. Instead of having our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach or in a garden, I chose to have it in the park. I found there were several great locations that would work out perfectly for an outdoor wedding.

I decided to go online and get some expert advice on how to plan the perfect outdoor wedding. If you’re going to have your ceremony outside, it’s a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the weather turns on you. So we arranged to have a tent set up to move the ceremony into if necessary, just as a precaution.

I planned my hearts wedding with a little help from my mom and sister for our February date. We thought a heart wedding would be the best choice since it was around the special day for lovers. We shopped through a lot of bridal stores and even department stores looking for exactly the right accessories for heart weddings. They did have a lot to choose from, but boy, the prices were just a little more than what me and my fiance had in mind. So, my sister suggested I try an online bridal shop and when I checked it out, I was really surprised at the great discount deals they had. There were even collection selections that had five to eight accessories for one low price. So, naturally, online shopping was what I chose.

The cards we used as wedding invitations had a pair of hearts on the front of them, both silver. It was really elegant looking and the inside was preprinted, so all I had to do was fill in the blanks with all the necessary information of who, when and where.

But that was only the beginning, after I mailed out the invitations I had to start planning the décor and ordering the supplies I would need. On each of the pews I had big red velvet bows with ribbon strung from one pew to the next. At the altar were candelabras and our beautiful unity candle with the heart of little roses on the front. We used red roses all over the wedding ceremony, like in my bouquet, where they were mixed with pink roses, and throughout the church. It may have been a touch extravagant, but I’ve always wanted to have doves released as we left the church building, so we did, and it I thought it was wonderful.

The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. As a flower girl basket, I decided to go with a gorgeous white satin with lovely lace and satin bows on each side. For the ring boy to carry down the aisle I ordered a gorgeous white double hearts wedding pillow with the two gold hearts entwined, and a white satin ribbon for the rings. My flower girl was going to wear a small tiara, and it was very similar in appearance to the one I had picked out for myself. She wore a pretty pink dress, made for a flower girl, and she did such a wonderful job as a flower girl and looked so brilliant that I thought she did look like royalty. The ring boy was just as cute in his small tuxedo and red boutonniere, and he did his task just as well. He did his job of taking care of the rings marvelously, and he was in perfect harmony with the rest of the wedding ceremony. I was so proud of both of them.

For our wedding reception I had centerpieces made up of red, white and pink roses with little valentine hearts arranged in with the flowers. I got a place card holder that was the prettiest I had ever seen for each place setting, and two hearts wedding candles that made it feel like love was in the air. I picked out small silver bells with handles in the form of a heart to give each of our guests as a present that would be a memento of our wedding. Every layer of our wedding cake was adorned with small red and pink roses, and the bottom section had tiny hearts running all the way around it. There was a porcelain wedding cake topper, colored white, that fit in with our hearts wedding cake and the rest of our cake adornments beautifully.

Everything at our wedding and reception was the perfect picture of a true valentines day wedding with all the hearts and flowers imaginable. I feel fortunate that I was able to use the Internet to the extent that I did because it made everything much more efficient.

I decided to go on the net and see if there were any amazing keychain favors; prior to that, I’d always considered them to be a rather quaint gift. And they are inexpensive, but some are quite well designed. Honestly I had never thought about key chain favors until I got a look at some of the most wonderful ideas they had for them. The entire wedding day and night were everything I had ever dreamed of and more. We will have a lot of memories captured between the photographer we had there and the video that we shot of our ceremony and our first dance. With all of the pictures we’ll have, I was relieved that had the foresight to buy two picture albums. I also bought a table top album to have on display in our living room. It has two pretty hearts on a silver metal frame, and it looks fantasitc. Oh, and then I got a photo album for our honeymoon pictures as well, since I knew that Cancun would have plenty of opportunites for taking great photos. I was quite ready for us to take all kinds of pictures during this special period in our lives.
Taking my vows with my husband in front of all of our loved ones is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. It was the most important day of my life and I have lots of memories and keepsakes stored away to prove it. There were a lot of good memories of the honeymoon, too.

When my fiance and I set the date for our wedding, I started planning and shopping for all my accessories and wedding supplies, right away.
