We used red roses all over the wedding ceremony, like in my bouquet, where they were mixed with pink roses, and throughout the church.    The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. As a flower girl basket, I decided to go with a gorgeous white satin with lovely lace and satin bows on each side. For the ring boy to carry down the aisle I ordered a gorgeous white double hearts wedding pillow with the two gold hearts entwined, and a white satin ribbon for the rings. My flower girl was going to wear a small tiara, and it was very similar in appearance to the one I had picked out for myself. She wore a pretty pink dress, made for a flower girl, and she did such a wonderful job as a flower girl and looked so brilliant that I thought she did look like royalty. The ring boy was just as cute in his small tuxedo and red boutonniere, and he did his task just as well. He did his job of taking care of the rings marvelously, and he was in perfect harmony with the rest of the wedding ceremony. I was so proud of both of them. 
  

   For our wedding reception I had centerpieces made up of red, white and pink roses with little valentine hearts arranged in with the flowers. I got a place card holder that was the prettiest I had ever seen for each place setting, and two hearts wedding candles that made it feel like love was in the air. I picked out small silver bells with handles in the form of a heart to give each of our guests as a present that would be a memento of our wedding. Every layer of our wedding cake was adorned with small red and pink roses, and the bottom section had tiny hearts running all the way around it. There was a porcelain wedding cake topper, colored white, that fit in with our hearts wedding cake and the rest of our cake adornments beautifully.

The entire wedding day and night were everything I had ever dreamed of and more. With all of the pictures we’ll have, I was relieved that had the foresight to buy two picture albums. I also bought a table top album to have on display in our living room. At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. The silver hearts wedding theme carried over to the place cards holders at the reception tables, and they complimented the red and white rose centerpieces beautifully. The tables all looked elegant with the sparkling champagne flutes and the lovely wine glasses. She did an awesome job of designing the place settings at the reception. They had their names and the date of the wedding inscribed on the wine glasses, and the champagne flutes were crystal. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. They were double hearts wedding flutes, with the two silver hearts linked together, just like on the hearts wedding invitation they sent me.
The hearts wedding cake they had made had five layers and it was delicious. It really was quite delicious and really gorgeous. The cake topper she chose, believe it or not, wasn’t a heart, but, figurines that looked exactly like the bride and groom. That cake topper was one of a kind, and it was the first time I’ve ever seen something like that. She picked it out on the web; in fact, it was the same site she purchased her other supplies and things for the wedding from. She took some pictures of her groom and herself, and from that, they put together a cake topper that could have been their twins. Something like this has to be a really super wedding keepsake.
We had a pretty hearts wedding, in fact they gave us two thank you gifts. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. A very original idea for them to think of, I felt. Come to think of it, their entire wedding day was filled with sharp ideas they had. They couldn’t have put it together any better, and all of the people who went had a smashing time there. Their Mexico honeymoon is probably even more fun than the wedding was. When they get back home, I’m anxious to look through their pictures with them, and hear about all the fantastic things we saw and did in Mexico. When I picked the theme for the baby shower, I couldn’t help but think of Ernie on Sesame Street and his favorite bathtub song of ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One.’ I wasn’t really inpress about this theme at first until I checked out all the cute little accessories and all the possibilities of having rubber duck favors. There were posters of Donald and Daisy Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and the rest of the Disney cast all over the place, and the Daisy Duck one was huge.
I got pink picture frames with tiny ducks on the edges to use a place card holders for each person’s spot at a table. The little barbecue grills I picked out as place card holders were so cute, and I thought they would make adorable little souvenirs of our reception for our friends and family to keep. I figured little barbecue grills were a neat idea, since we weren’t having a catered reception, but instead, a large family cookout. To have the feel of the old west, we added little miniature cowboy hats for everyone’s place setting and set out cowboy boot shaped glasses for them to drink from. As ceramic wedding favors, I chose the pretty ceramic honey pots with heart shaped handles instead of the tea caddies for our friends and family. They were the perfect choice for our country western reception and they looked so cute. But, I came close to choosing one of the candle holders as their ceramic wedding gift because they were just so pretty. With all the great decorating accessories at my disposal, our tables had the look of a real country wedding, and the rest of the motif was perfect too.
With the haystacks we set up and the white lights twinkled in the trees, it was the epitome of a country wedding. A cowgirl with her rope tied to her grooms rope to have him hauled off to the preacher was the wedding cake topper we chose. There were lots of laughter at our reception, we all dance, and partied our little hearts out and had such a super time.
